Woodland Princess Heart-

A large tabular heart that looks to me like something that would be worn by a woodland princess in a fairy tale novel.  I imagine lovely lady of the woods, with long tresses of gorgeous red curly hair.  She's wearing a brocade and velvet dress and she has this heart on a piece of velvet ribbon at her throat.  Call me crazy, but if I close my eyes, I can see this all before me.  This heart was wound on a 3/32" mandrel and the hole goes top to bottom.  To see the other side of the heart, and the measurements, click on the thumbnail photo.

White with Black Filigrana Scrollwork-

A perennial favorite - black and white.  This focal is simple in color, but makes a really bold statement with the design.  I left the filigrana scrollwork slightly raised, so it appears to be almost floating on the surface of the white bead due to the clear layer surrounding the black stringer.  Because the design on this bead is completely random, it is beautiful and interesting from every angle.  Be sure to click on the thumbnail to see the measurments, and to see the bead from 4 different angles.  The bead was wound on a 5/64" mandrel.

White & Black Focal Lentil-

Here's a nice sized focal bead in black and white in the shape of a straight sided lentil.  This one is decorated with a twisted cane made from white, back and clear, which I melted in completely so that it sunk down into the base bead.  Then I added some black filigrana for a little more contrast and definition.  Finally, I added some raised clear dots for texture.  This bead was wound on a 5/64" mandrel.  Click on the thumbnail to see the other side of the bead and the size.

Turquoise Leopard Heart-

This focal heart is flirty and sexy with an animalistic quality to it.  Made on a base of copper green, rolled in silver foil, then decorated with random spots and splotches of amber, it almost looks like leopard print.  I added the dark amber ruffle to give it just the right touch of femininity.  The bead was wound on a 3/32" mandrel and the hole runs side to side.  It is heavier below the hole, so it hangs very nicely and will not flip up.  Click on the thumbnail for a picture of the back and for measurements.
